Motherhood

A Peek Inside the Motherhood Books

Motherhood made me question, learn and rethink more than I ever expected. Somewhere along the way, I discovered cognitive biases: the invisible patterns that influence how we think, react and make sense of the world around us. That discovery became a series of three books. This free preview gives you a little look inside, with one of my favourite chapters from each book.

These books started with a simple realization: understanding how my mind works helped me understand motherhood differently.

Cognitive biases are patterns in the way our brains process information. They affect all of us, every day. How we remember difficult moments, compare ourselves to others, interpret our children's behaviour, hold onto decisions, judge situations and sometimes doubt ourselves. But when I started reading about them, most examples I found were about careers, investments, marketing or business decisions. I kept thinking about how incredibly relevant these same patterns were to motherhood.

So I started translating what I was learning into the world I was actually living in. The result became three short books about cognitive biases, explained through motherhood. They aren't parenting manuals, and I'm not trying to tell mothers how they should raise their children. They're about understanding ourselves better: why we think the way we do, why certain situations affect us so strongly and why our perspective isn't always as objective as it feels.

Inside this free preview, you'll find one selected chapter from each of the three books. Each explores a different cognitive bias through relatable situations, everyday examples and reflections you can bring back into your own life.

Think of it as a small introduction to the series. Read the chapters, see what resonates, and perhaps you'll start noticing some of these invisible patterns in your own everyday life too.
